gifts for administrative professionals day

I know it was last week, but I wanted to post what I made anyway :) I used the sizzix die to make the boxes and hello kitty. I used stickles to color in the black dots for the ladybug shell and the hearts on the antenna. I then added stickles to the centers of each flower. I forgot to add that I made the HKs fuzzy by putting fun flock on them.
Don't mind the extraneous items in the pictures. My craft area is such a mess that I don't have a clear area to shoot pictures- pathetic I know but what can I say- I love to craft and don't mind the clutter. BUT, it is getting to me so I will be cleaning up my spaces this weekend! Take care and thanks for stopping by :)

gifts for UH student nurses

Hello everyone!

As a RN we preceptor UH student nurses each semester. They spend the semester with us getting to experience the public health nursing arena (which basically can include anything). In any case, the 1st 4 pictures are some things I made for my student nurse. I made a Hello Kitty card based on the make and take that I made last week Friday @ Photocraft and then I made a card folder and included 5 greeting cards I made (these greeting cards were made before I seriously started getting into sizzix and card making). The last photo is of a gift card I made for my co-worker's male student nurse. Of course it's more difficult making a masculine or "boy" card, but I was able to find some cute "boy" stamps at cute stuff yesterday as I was killing time before braving the 1 1/2 hour long trip back home (I had to come into town to visit J's 30% off sale--of course ;) Hope you like them!

Christmas Stampin All Year Long week 13 challenge

Hello-
I wanted to participate in this weeks challenge #13 because I love this penny black stamp. It reminds me of something my dog Toby would do.

Designer paper: DCWV
Paper punch: Martha Stewart
I embossed the sentiment w/ copper powder
Applied stickles to the scarf, hat, snowflakes and around the red circle on the sentiment.

Hope I followed the challenge correctly :)

I can't say if I'll participate in every challenge, but I enjoyed this one! Hope you do too!

tole painting crafts

Hi-
Since I am also a tole painter I wanted to share some of the crafts that I made and sold this past Christmas season. Enjoy!

Make and Take @ Photocraft on 4/24/09

hello-
I just wanted to share the make and take that we did at Photocraft on Friday. Cheri from Sizzix and Cheryl Miyashiro were our instructors. Of course I bought a few things from there afterwards and then I went to J's Knicknacks. Earlier that morning I visited crafts in the city on Bishop street and then after J's I went to Stamps and Memories in Aiea. Since starting to seriously papercraft and blurfing, I've been going to town at least weekly (very different for this country girl)- whoosh! Good thing gas prices came down hee hee!

Anyway on to the post- it's of course another hello kitty card YAY!

Hello there-

I love visiting dawn's stamping thoughts and her tutorials. The following are gift cards that I've created based on her tutorials. The 2nd one is actually a slider card and I adapted it to hold gift cards.

Here goes nothing...

Hello everyone-
I'm new to this so please forgive any errors, I'm still learning. I participated in my first one card swap (OCS) with Teri and I wanted to show you 2 different shaker cards that I made. My partner was Lynn of crafting memories. I sent her the one with the blue balloons. I used DSP by chatterbox and the image is from penny black- I totally LOVE the hedgehog designs. I decorated the center of the flowers on the DSP with stickles and the centers of the punched flowers with rhinestone bling. The day before I made the card I went to photocraft and learned how to use the niji watercolor set so the balloons are painted with that and are actually metallic looking. The greeting is from stampin up and I colored the hedgehog w/ stampin up markers. I'm still trying to learn how to take good pictures with my camera so sorry that it's a little dark. Thanks for looking and stopping by- hope to see more of you soon! Take care
