Mother's Day Cards

Hi-
I thought I had posted these earlier- but I guess not!
Anyway, my mom came out of the hospital about 4 weeks ago and she is gradually getting better, she is puttering around the house and has driven to Wahiawa and around Mililani by herself, but we still take her to town for medical appointments. She still gets pretty wiped out after her activities so it's good that she rest too!

I am fortunate enough to have 2 mothers, my biological mom and my stepmom. I made them each a card using this new watercolor technique I learned and I think the cards came out great (except for the crooked sentiment- oh well). These were my 1st attempts at using the watercolor stamping technique and I think I like these the best.

I used pigment inks (PTI and also brillance pigment ink pads) and then I used gold glimmer mist and made my own glimmer mist to sparkle up the card. I really love this technique and will be making more of these types of cards! I used my border punches to edge the card and then I cut off about 1" from the front of the base card to attach the image. I then capped off the edge w/ another border punch strip.

Anyway, they loved their cards and that's the most important thing.

take care and have a great day!
