Friday night crafting
Hi everyone!
I went to my friend Denise's house on Friday and we made 2 things
I taught them how to do this box that I made for my June Aloha RAK (I will be tweaking this lady's tutorial and I hope to do a step by step one soon... :P) I had some issues w/ making the scalloped cardboard top and bottom but it turned out okay. I used a sizzix die to make the flowers- they are pretty easy to make. I used another Milton & Co stamp (this bear is Milton)
Then Denise taught us how to make this tea bag holder (sorry I don't have teabags to put in the box but I think you guys can't use your imagination)
Denise and Jamee made these cute "baskets" and filled them w/ Hershey's Kisses- yummy!
I had a great time and I'm so happy to have met Denise and Jamee; they are such loving people and I really admire the great mother-daughter relationship that they have. They are really fortunate to have such a great relationship.
Anyway, I didn't get to take pictures of the girl's boxes, but they turned out stunning and I was so impressed by their coloring skills!
I hope you are having a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Take care and God Bless!

My June OCS
Hi everyone-
I hope that you're having a nice Monday and it's not too hectic!
I was partnered w/ the AWESOME co-coordinator of the OCS for June, Miss Linda herself and she made me this great card!
It is so pretty IRL and the coloring is terrific. She used some paper flowers and I think she stickled them.
She also included a cute Hello Kitty notepad.
I had a great time meeting and crafting w/ her at the Munchkins Make and Take last Saturday!
Thanks for stopping by!

My nephew's card
Hello everyone- I hope you are having a great weekend!
My nephew turned 7 on Wednesday and we celebrated his birthday at Chuck E. Cheese on Thursday.
He's losing his teeth (he's lost the 2 front and will soon lose his canines and he's lost one on the bottom). When he was a baby his teeth would come up in bunches so it figures that he'd lose them in bunches too. Well, we just told him that he has enough "garage space" to fit a hummer in his top gum.
Anyway, I made this quick card for him, I used a Milton & Company stamp (the dog's name is Toby) and I did a simple layout since 1) he's a boy 2) he's a boy and doesn't notice fine details :)
I gave him a consolidated theaters gift card since he wanted to see Sorcerer's Apprentice (good show btw) and he had fun. We hardly get to see him so it was nice to see him and spend some time with him.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Sunday!

Christmas in July Make and Take
Hi everyone-
I went to Stampin Munchkins on Saturday w/ Denise and Jamee and I met Linda for the first time and met up w/ Janis (great Island girls) and we made this card. The image is a Milton stamp and it's just adorable.
Cyn taught us how to make this triangle tri fold card (which I first made last year when I first started blogging) and then we colored the image w/ copics and used pearl pen to accent the poinsettia.
I was a great hour spent w/ some of the island girls and they are all so funny and TWILIGHT SERIES OBSESSED! I hope to craft with them again, it was great to finally meet Linda in person!
Take care and have a nice week- I'll try to post again, but we'll see. I am getting ready for my first SU workshop in August so I will definitely be building up my supply and crafting. If you want to order something or have a workshop, please e-mail me (see my profile) or click on the SU catalog and it'll take you to my website.
thanks for visiting and take care! God Bless you All!

Color renovation and Color Renovation Kits
Hello everyone!
Welcome to my new Stampin Up Happenings Page, thanks for exploring the tab!
Here I will post promotions or new information that Stampin Up wants you to know!
First off-
The new 2010-2011 Catalog is here and it's wonderful! There are so many new products to try and the ideas are stunning! They have re-vamped their colors and the newest thing for an established Stampin Up customer is to add to their color collection cost effectively.
The newest thing is that they've extended the In Colors for a 2 year stint so for this year you can add 5 new colors to your collection AND in the 2011-2012 catalog they will add another 5 new colors so you'll have 10 new colors to pick from! HOW EXCITING!
The new color renovation kits allow you to purchase new colors (stamp pads, markers or card stock in smaller increments so you don't need to go and buy ALL the new colors at once!)
Click on the picture of the Color Renovation Kit PDF file on my left sidebar to see the details!
Thanks for stopping by and stop by often so I can give you more updates.
I also will post some ideas about ribbon or paper shares that my customers could participate in so you can buy samples of the ribbons or papers in an affordable manner! Please leave a comment if you are interested in this idea!

"You're Free!"
Hi everyone-
I hope you are having a nice weekend! My co-worker Dayle "retired" (her long term contract was not renewed so she had to leave and since she doesn't plan to find another job, I guess she retired). In any case, we miss her smiling, boisterous laugh and her hard work. She was terrific to work with.
I made this card for everyone to sign- I used a Penny Black image again and then I cut them out w/ my nesties. I made a computer generated sentiment and attached it to the ribbon. I couldn't think of a better sentiment than "You're Free!"
I designed these goodie bags for her favors and my 2 friends Kelly and Yumi (who come to my house for furlough Friday classes) helped me make the bags.
I learned to make the bags at a Stampin Munchkins class I took a while back and then I just re-sized it to make the bag a little smaller.
I used Dandelion Designs stamps and cut them out w/ punches. I used border punches to punch the top of the bags before we assembled them.
I filled the bags w/ mini snickers, butterfingers, milky way, etc and everyone enjoyed it.
Dayle had a nice time at her "retirement" luncheon and we all got to spend some time with her. We're hoping to convince her to come and volunteer for us at some point :)
Thanks for stopping by and come by tomorrow so I can show you what a fun make and take we did on Saturday.

I took the plunge
Hello everyone-
I just wanted to let you all know that I became a SU demonstrator last month, I couldn't pass it up since it was such a great deal to sign up. Anyway, I know probably all of you have a demonstrator, but it you would like to order something from me or have a class, I'd be happy to help!
Please e-mail me if you want to set up a class. I have a stampin up website so if you just want to directly order from there that's fine too, click here.
I am hoping to do some exciting things in the future but right now I have to focus on the Cane Haul Run (see previous post).
In any case, I just wanted to share my little bit of news.
Take care and God Bless!

June Aloha RAK
In June the Aloha RAK theme was buttons- my partner was Jovita Torres in Arizona and I hope by now she has received my RAK. If not...SURPRISE!
Anyway, I wanted to make a box for her so I got this idea off of artistic avenger here, check her blog out- she's AWESOME!
I then filled the box w/ 6 3x3 cards that I made out of a PTI stamp set, this set is made specifically to add buttons to the designs and I love that! I then decorated the box w/ a PCS digi stamp and I used a inkadinkado sentiment stamp for the top. I added in some felt flowers that I got from cute stuff. I also included a stamp set that I got from BF.
I hope that she likes it- I had fun making the cards and I apologize for the tardiness of the RAK.
Take care of yourselves and I'll see you guys soon.
Thanks for stopping by and for those of you who comment- thank you so much it makes me so happy to read your posts.

July birthday cards
Hi-
My co-worker Jan had her birthday on 7/5/10. She is a great friend and I hope that she had a great birthday.
My office card for her uses a tiddlyinks design and then I followed a Our Creative Corner sketch to create the layout. I used nestabilities and MS punches and I made a fold up flower a long time ago that I decided to finally use. I then made a pin to attach to the ribbon. I need to find those caps for the pins so it doesn't poke anyone, but for my first attempt I think it worked out okay.
My 2nd card used Penny Black designs- she loves cats and PB has such cute cat characters. I used the SU lattice impression folder from the summer 2010 mini catalog to make the front of the card and then followed the same OCC sketch. I used 2 different types of MS punches and the label is from a nestabilities frame set.
Anyway, she liked the cards and that's the main thing. I usually make her Ooey Gooey Pumpkin Butter Cake for her birthday and she begs me for it throughout the entire year, but this year she recently had to take all dairy and soy out of her diet so I made her watermelon sorbet and Vanilla almond milk gelato instead- I hope she likes it!
Take care everyone!

Hello everyone-
I apologize for not being around so much- it's not that I'm not crafting, it's just that I'm to busy to post. I've been appointed as race director for the 2nd Annual Waipahu Cane Haul Run which is on 8/22/10 @ 7:00a.m. It starts at Hawaii's Plantation Village in Waipahu and it's a scenic run/walk thru the Waipahu Neighborhood. Our inaugural race last year had 300 participants and we're hoping for 500 participants this year! If you are available on Sunday 8/22/10 and would like to come out for some fun and exercise, please click here to go to our Waipahu Cane Haul Run blog. I would love to meet you and I thank you for your support!

My June OCS
Hi everyone-
WHAT? 2 postings in a week- AMAZING!
Anyway, my partner was the wonderful, Eclipse C-R-A-Z-Y Linda herself so my card had to be good.
The theme for June's OCS was to use your favorite things.
Well, my favorite things are MS punches, nestabilities and Penny Black stamps.
I found out how to make an accordion pop up card on SCS and then I used a PB stamp as the main focal image. I sponged clouds behind the hedgehog.
I adapted a PCP layout for the front of the card. For the inside of the card, I made the pop up flowers from a PTI set and then used various Hero Arts sentiments and images to different pop up layers.
Finally I tied the card shut w/ brown gingham image that I got from Js and then attempted to tie a NON-LAME ribbon, but Oh WEll!
Anyway, I hope that Linda liked her card; I enjoyed trying out the new technique.
Thanks for stopping by everyone!
If I don't post before 7/4/10; HAVE A TERRIFIC INDEPENDENCE DAY. LET'S ALL STOP A MINUTE DURING OUR FESTIVITIES TO PRAY FOR OUR TROOPS AND THE SACRIFICES THAT THEY MAKE/MADE FOR OUR FREEDOM AND LET'S GIVE THANKS TO OUR FOREFATHERS AND ANCESTORS THAT DIED FOR OUR COUNTRY.
Take care!

Another furlough Friday class
Hi-
My friends came over to finish the cards they started in May. They made 10 cards total and used SU supplies amongst other things. My friend Melissa was the only one left when I remembered that I needed to take the pics. So ta-dah; here's her creations!
The last card they made was from the Summer Mini SU catalog elements of style. I taught them how to color and shade w/ SU markers.
They enjoyed the class so that's the main thing. We will be meeting again next month for another project!
Thanks for stopping by--sorry I've been away for so long!
Take care!
